On My Wishlist #2

On My Wishlist is a weekly meme hosted by me, which will be posted every Wednesday. It allows us to share the books we haven't bought yet but are waiting to be bought and devoured. If you are anything like me then your wishlist is getting longer by the day! If you would like to take part and have your own 'On My Wishlist' post then you can find more info here. (This post was inspired by the fab In My Mailbox by Kristi at The Story Siren).

I've had the Kitty Norville series on my wishlist for a while now. I did read books 1 & 2 many years ago but can't remember the story line at all. I definitely want to add this series to my ever growing book collection, so hopefully I will get them in the very near future!
Title: Kitty and the Midnight Hour
Author: Carrie Vaughn
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Publisher: Gollancz
Publication Date: 10 Jan 2008
Paperback: 320 pages
Summary (Goodreads)
Kitty Norville is a midnight-shift DJ for a Denver radio station - and a werewolf in the closet. Sick of lame song requests, she accidentally starts "The Midnight Hour", a late-night advice show for the supernaturally disadvantaged. After desperate vampires, werewolves, and witches across the country begin calling in to share their woes, her new show is a raging success. But it's Kitty who can use some help. With one sexy werewolf-hunter and a few homicidal undead on her tail, Kitty may have bitten off more than she can chew...
**UPDATE: Now Own**
Books in Series:

I bought the entire series of Sookie Stackhouse, which is still sitting on my shelves unread. But when I was looking around Charlaine's website one day I found this series, which sounded just as good, so on my wishlist it went...
Title: Grave Sight
Author: Charlaine Harris
Genre: Paranormal Mystery
Publisher: Gollancz
Publication Date: 13 September 2007
Paperback: 320 pages
Summary (Goodreads)
Harper Connelly had a lucky escape when she was hit by lightning: she didn't die. But sometimes she wishes she had died, because the lightning strike left her with an unusual talent: she can find dead people - and that's not always comfortable. Everyone wants to know how she does it: it's a little like hearing a bee droning inside her head, or maybe the pop of a Geiger counter, a persistent, irregular noise that increases in strength as she gets closer. It's almost electric: a buzzing all through her body, and the fresher the corpse, the more intense the buzz.
Harper and her brother Tolliver make their living from finding the dead, for desperate parents, worried friends... and police departments who have nowhere else to look. They may not believe in her abilities, but sometimes the proof is just too much for even the most sceptical of police chiefs to deny. But it's not always easy for someone like Harper, for the dead *want* to be found - and too often, finding the body doesn't bring closure; it opens a whole new can of worms.
Books in Series:
1. Grave Sight
4. Grave Secret

I read I Am Legend a few months ago and thought it was one of the best novels I have ever read. If you haven't read it yet then I recommend that you do. It's nothing like the film and as always, it's much better. So, I have added most of Matheson's books to my wishlist as if they are half as good as I Am Legend then they will definitely be worth reading.
Title: A Stir of Echoes
Author: Richard Matheson
Genre: Horror
Publisher: Tor Books (this edition)
Publication Date: 1 July 2004
Paperback: 224 pages
Summary (Goodreads)
Tom Wallace lived an ordinary life, until a chance event awakened psychic abilities he never knew he possessed. Now he's hearing the private thoughts of the people around him-and learning shocking secrets he never wanted to know. But as Tom's existence becomes a waking nightmare, even greater jolts are in store as he becomes the unwilling recipient of a compelling message from beyond the grave!
Books by this Author:
2. I Am Legend
4. Hell House
So, now I have shared some of the books on my wishlist, let me know what's on yours!

I have the Kitty books here waiting to be read.
awesome books on your wishlist!
I have read the first two books in the Harper Connelly series. I really enjoy Charlaine Harris' writing! I love the cover of this book. Mine looks quite a bit different. Below is the link to my review if you're interested!

You have a great wishlist! :)
Great books, some of those are on my wishlist also! So is the meme on a particular day of the week, or will it stay on Tues from now on? Just wondering :)
I've been wanting to read I Am Legend since I saw a couple of bloggers mention it as having the best book ending.
Just to let you all know, On My Wishlist was posted early due to testing My Linky, but from now on it will be scheduled to post every Wednesday :)
Happy hunting my dear - hope you get to those books soon.

I like the kitty books! They are a good, usually quick, read for me.
I have that Charlaine Harris series on my kindle... I don't know why I keep putting them off because I love the Sookie books...
I've read the first three of the Harper books and I really enjoyed them. Good choice for your wishlist. :)
LOVE the Kitty series... its a must read I gotta say :)
ps: my name is twice on the mr.link thing cause I forgot to put the blog name. if you can delete the one that only says "Larissa" its ok...
Sorry for the inconvenience =/
I won the Kitty Norville books awhile back but I haven't read them yet. It looks like a great series to get involved with.
I've had my eye on that series by Charlaine Harris for awhile. I enjoyed the Sookie Stackhouse novel so I imagine I'll pick this up eventually. Awesome books on your wishlist! I'll have a link up tomorrow. :)
LOL. I am in the same boat as you with the Sookie Stackhouse series....bought the whole thing when I found them for a great deal, but have yet the chance to read them. Such is the life of a book lover! =0)
I haven't ever read the synopsis of the other Charlaine Harris series.. loved Sookie Stackhouse, I think I'll give this series a try as well.
Great wish list! The Kitty books look good!
I like that cover for Grave Sight!
Charlaine Harris new series looks promising. Your not alone I have yet to read her Sookie series, but I lurve watching True Blood.
the books are SO much better than the show!
Love this meme...although I have a feeling that clicking through the Mr. Linky posts isn't going to help my book addiction much! hehe
Stir of Echoes is on my wishlist as well. I loved I Am Legend! And Hell House was pretty good too.
Nice books!
I just received my first kitty book in the mail the other day.
First I have seen of the Kitty Series but they look great! Will certainly be looking to them!
