Film Release for Jodi Picoult

The film, My Sister’s Keeper, based on the book by Jodi Picoult, is to be released on June 26th. It stars Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin, Alec Baldwin and Sofia Vassiliera. See the film trailer on You Tube.

The story involves a young girl, who in her short life has undergone numerous operations, transfusions and injections so that her older sister can fight leukemia. The story examines the emotions of the characters and asks some difficult questions along the way – Is it morally correct to do whatever it takes to save a child’s life…even if that means infringing upon the rights of another?
