In My Mailbox (#8)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.

I had a good week for books. I received four books to review, bought three (not so bad as last week – see I do have some restraint…) and won one.

For Review:

• The Horse Dancer by Jojo Moyes (sent by Hodder & Stroughton at authors request)
• Sheltering Rain by Jojo Moyes (as above) – Had lovely twitter chat with Jojo last week. Lovely lady!
• Chosen by Jerry Ibbotson (Media Mill)
• Confessions of a Reluctant Recessionista by Amy Silver (Arrow Books)

Bought:

• Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (Penguin Books) – I really don’t know why I haven’t read this series yet.

• The Enemy by Charlie Higson (Puffin Books) – I found this while perusing Jenny’s blog, Wondrous Reads, and thought it looked good, then came across it while in Sainsbury’s, so I popped it in with the shopping!

• Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (Scholastic) – I bought The Hunger Games last week and would have bought this too but shop didn’t have it. This was also in Sainsbury’s, so I popped that one in too.

Won:

• Out of the Shadows by Susan Lewis (Arrow Books)

What books did you get this week?

I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to VA – I don't know why I haven't read it yet. Okay, maybe I've made a choice recently to diversify and read a little less vampire fiction for the moment, but even before then I'd known about VA for ages and not picked it up.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it long before I do. :)

Okay, you've introduced me to a new way of sneaking more books into the house… in bags of supermarket produce. Awesome! I have to say, I know Catching Fire has had a lot of hype, but I think it's fully justified – hope you enjoy it!

You won't be disapointed with VA, in fact I'm sure you'll run to buy the 3 others when you're done with the first.
The books gets better and betters as the series goes!
