BCC’s Top 10 TV Couples

I found this fun meme over at The Book Smugglers. Here’s how it works: create a list of your top 10 all-time favourite television couples, tag five other bloggers, and pass it on. My list has no particular order to it. There’s no way I could rate one couple over another, they are all great! So, here’s my Top 10 TV Couples!

Mulder & Scully (The X-Files)
Probably one of my favourite shows ever. These two were just so damn good together as partners, but when they did finally get it together romantically we were never really shown it – not until the recent film, I Want To Believe.. but we won’t go there. This show had everything: aliens, the bizarre, conspiracy, excitement and sexual chemistry. I just loved it!

Sydney & Vaughn (Alias)
This was a brilliant series and Sydney was one of the best kick-arse girlies out there. The chemistry between these two was hot but they didn’t get together for ages. But it was worth the wait.

Blair & Chuck (Gossip Girl)
The new kids on the block. These two have the love/hate relationship down to a tee and this is my favourite kind. I love it when people hate each other but really they are madly in love. As you can see from my list, the love/hate features predominantly. I love this show and can’t wait for series 3!!

Joey & Pacey (Dawson’s Creek)
Here we are again with the love/hate. But it means so much more when they eventually get together, don’t you think? But as always with DC, there was much teenage angst and this true love didn’t run smoothly. I was so pleased she chose Pacey over Dawson at the end of the series. It really was just meant to be.

Phoebe & Cole (Charmed)
I loved this couple. They were so steamy together. It was such a shame when Cole went totally bad boy on us. Charmed was never the same for me after that.

Carrie & Mr. Big (Sex and the City)
How can I not mention these guys in my top 10 TV couples?! This show was so great and I loved Carrie. I’m glad they eventually sorted themselves out and ended up together.

Ross & Rachel (Friends)
Friends is one of my top favourite shows ever! I loved it so much! This couple was just so sweet and funny together. I liked the on again, off again aspect but was so happy when they got together for good. I miss this show :(

Buffy & Angel (Buffy)
This is also one of my favourite shows. I loved Buffy’s kick-arse character (another trend I’m seeing). This was a great show and I also thought Angel was delicious :o This was young love at its best.

Buffy & Spike (Buffy)
The love/hate thing again.. This has to be one of my greatest couples. But I really don’t like ambiguity, and all I kept wishing for was Buffy to say that she loved him, but it never came. Not even when he was about to go and burn in hell *sigh* It was very frustrating ‘cos although I would like to think she loved Spike, it would have been nice to hear her say it! I miss this show too :(

Maddie & David (Moonlighting)
Some of you may not even remember this show, but I watched this when I was younger and I just loved it. Yes, the love/hate is back and it’s one of the best.

So, there you have it. My top 10 favourite TV couples. Who are yours?

Tag! You’re it!

Al well as my ‘taggees’, anyone can join in!!!

YAY, this looks like so much fun. I agree with all of your choices. I am a little too young for Moonlighting, but I love Bruce Willis so I made sure I watched these. The constant will they, won't they kept me hooked and when they finally got together, I squeed like such a fan girl. Fab meme

I'm not a big TV watcher, but based on what I see in EW, and hear from friends, you have nailed this one! The only one I can truly attest to is Carrie and Mr. Big. Lots of chemistry and angst!

Damn I forgot about Phoebe and Cole on my list- you're right the show was not the same after him and I never found another pairing with her after believable.

I must say, I like this post. I would have added Mick and Beth from Moonlight.

too bad the show only aired for one season. I would have liked to see what happens next. =(

Actually if you got your facts right and actually followed the show you would know that in Buffy the Vampire Slayer near the end when Spike is being engulfed in flames Buffy says "I love you" and Spike says "no you don't, but thanks anyways."

Anon "shame you didn't leave your name" – My facts are right and I did watch the show – actually – and although she may have said the words we never really knew if she meant them – as I said in my comment, it was too ambiguous.
