August was a pretty good month. I managed to read a few more books than last month, but still not as many as I would like, but I’m happy, especially as there has been a lot going on. Have been decorating the house and had to go away for four days to Ibiza for a friends wedding. I didn’t really get going on any of my reading challenges, but I still have time to complete them all, so I’m not too worried – yet!

General Book Chick City News:

• I received a total of 13 awards from my fellow bloggers this month – thanks so much guys!

• I began a new feature called Celebrate the Classics, which has started really well, people seem to like it. Looking forward to continuing with this into September.

• I reached 100+ followers on my blog and 300+ followers on Twitter. Which is totally amazing!

• I was nominated for a BBAW award: Best New Blog. I was so surprised! I just can’t believe that people voted for my blog, especially as I had only been blogging 7-8 weeks. I am so grateful and can’t wait for next Monday to see if I was short-listed. If I’m not, I will be disappointed, but I’ll still be a happy woman as I can’t believe I was nominated to begin with. Thanks blogger friends :)

As always, a big thank you to all the publishers and authors who have sent me such wonderful books to review, you have been so generous. I will do my very best to read and review them all!

You could definitely complete the Stephanie Plum challenge in a week, each book is like a 3 hour read.

Awesome month in review, I may have to do this on my blog if that is okay with you :-D
