All Hallows Eve Begins!!!

Yay!! It's the first day to my new yearly event, All Hallow's Eve!  I *love* halloween and how better to celebrate it than to immerse ourselves in all things that go bump in the night. I love all things horror, whether it be books or movies, it's my favourite genre. But it's not just the traditional horror novels I love. I class any book which has vampires, werewolves, witches, demons etc as sub-genres of horror, and I love these too. So you will find a mixture of all these genres here on BCC over the next few weeks. I have lots lined up for you guys, including reviews, interviews, guest posts and lots of giveaways, so hopefully it will be fun!

Speaking of contests: If I have the book in my possession I will open it worldwide, but sometimes the author or publicist request that it only be the US or UK. If this happens then it's out of my control. However, you will be pleased to know that most of the contests will be international!

On the last day of the month, which is of course Halloween, there will be a giveaway BONANZA where you will be in with a chance to win a HUGE stack of books! I have quite a lot already, so If I get more throughout the month then I may split the prize giving more of you a chance to win! Sound good?!

Also, my dear bloggy friends, there will be a contest where you can win a special prize. Over the coming weeks I will BOLD a letter in some of the posts, which will eventually make up a word. This word will have a halloween theme. Those of you who name the correct word at the end of the month will have the chance to win this special prize. I will not bold a letter every day so make sure you keep your eyes open... Fun, right?

On the 31st Oct, Halloween, I will be posting about my scariest experiences, but I also want to hear about yours. What was your most frightening experience? Have you ever had a ghostly encounter? If you don't have a story to tell then why not write a review about a book that scared the heebie-jeebies out of you? Anything goes as long as it contains the spirit of Halloween. I will post Mr Linky so you can add your posts and join in the fun. I haven't used Mr Linky before so hopefully all will go well, if not you can just leave the link to your post in the comments section.

So, let's get started!! Without further ado, I give you my first guest.....

Happy All Hallow's Eve!!

I've been having a ball reading scary books for my RIP challenge. I could do this all year, frankly! You are just too cute. I bet you are the best decorated house on the block too, aren't you, with spider webs, dry ice mist and those automatic goul thingys that speak to you when you walk by?

This is such a wonderful & fun idea! Thank you for making this month so exciting. I had an interesting & scary (for me) experiences involving Stephen King books when I was a teenager that makes a good story now! As for scary stories, I'll have to think on that!
