The Anita Blake Reading Challenge 2010
(Plus Contest!)
I have been thinking about hosting my own challege for a while now, but I didn't know what or to be honest how. But when J. Kaye (of J. Kaye's Book Blog) asked me to take over the Thriller & Suspense Challenge, I took it as a sign. So I decided on Anita Blake by Laurell K Hamilton as it was the first ever 'urban fantasy' type book I ever read and I just loved the character. If you haven't read Anita Blake before then this will be the perfect challenge for you. If you are like me and have read up to a certain point in the series but would like to re-read and catch up then join now!

1. Guilty Pleasures
2. The Laughing Corpse
3. Circus of the Damned

5. Bloody Bones
6. The Killing Dance

9. Obsidian Butterfly
10. Narcissus in Chains

14. Danse Macabre

CONTEST DETAILS:
I received an email from Headline Review, who publish the Anita Blake books here in the UK, offering the entire series as a prize for The Anita Blake Challenge!
Because this is such an amazing prize there are rules ;)
To be entered into the draw you must:
• Obviously sign up for the challenge
• Own a blog and be able to post reviews
• Display one of the buttons on your sidebar
• Review each of the 19 novels/novella's in the series.
• At the end of 2010 you must email me the links to all of your reviews and your name will then be placed into the draw. The winner will be announced in January 2011! If you do not review every book then you will not be entered.
Because the US publisher has the rights to this series it means that the US and Canada are not eligible for this contest, but other than that it is open worldwide!
Thank you so much to Headline Review for offering such an amazing prize!
NB: If you do not wish to be entered into the draw that's fine, just carry on as you would have. Remember, you do not have to enter the contest to sign up for the challenge!
If you have trouble signing below, please email me the name you want posted below with your blog's link HERE
NB: When signing up for Mr Linky, please add the direct link to your post where your Anita Blake books will be listed as it makes it much easier for others to find. If you don't have a blog, leave the URL blank. Thanks!

LOVE this... I have read the whole series 2 times and been planning on a third read... I am soooo in hehe :)
I'm with Larissa- I could read this series again, no problem! =)
I am so in. I haven't started this series I am have wanted too so this is perfect
This series has been sitting in my attic for about 6 months. I just may have to pull them out and think about this challenge. Great idea!
Elie (Ellz Readz)
I have most of these boxed up but never got to read them. Now got to go find them and see which ones I still need. lol
I've been thinking about re-reading this series...this gives me the perfect reason to. I'm in!
I should really be writing in 2010, but...... I am tempted!!
(Found my way here via Literary Escapism.)
Even if I don't do the AB Challenge, I <3 your blog. Glad I found it! :)
I have read the whole series but have wanted to reread it recently. Count me in!
I've read I think about half the series so I'm looking forward to rereading and catching up on the ones I missed :)
This series was the first series that I read too. It's hard to believe that I started the series in the 90s. I have not reread the books, so I wonder if my experience would be different the second time around.

I have been wanting to read this series for forever. Great challenge! I remember starting to read the first book but I never finished it. Perfect opportunity to start reading this series.
Thanks for the list of book in order! I'll probably be giving the challenge a shot.
Oh, I absolutely adore LKH! She is a major source of inspiration for me. This is a great challenge...but I'm so sad I can't enter the contest!
Also, I made my own button (I'm particular about sizes) and linked the challenge at my blog: http://www.bookloveaffair.com/
I have always wanted to read those but somehow never did. Is good to have a motivation like that so! (I'm new in blogging.)
I've been thinking of revisiting the series for a while now and this is just a great opportunity. :)
I have reviews on my blog through "Bloody Bones" -- been meaning to get to the rest! Wish I were eligible for the giveaway, I love the UK covers.
Just signed up for the challange. :)
OMG! my BF showed me this. I have already read books 1-7, reading 8 now and if I continue at this rate, I have finished them before summer :)
first review of books 1-7 is on my blog www.compumarion.com/blog + the button in my sidebar :)
I just realised I don't think I have EVER read these in order before! Despite being a LKH fan! I don't own all the books, so I think this will be a great challenge for me! :D Thankyou for suggesting it! Oh, and I am shocked and impressed that for once a competion is everywhere BUT the US and Canada! Being an Australian, I find that bias extremely frustrating... Kudos to Headline Review!
You know Im working on it, its getting hard, but Im trying and its FUN!!
This is so much fun!
Just egan this series for the first time in Feb this year, read two so far. Not sure if I'm gonna be able to do all 17 (!) but will give it a dan good go!
I'm coming to this rather late, but I'm excited. I've been curious about the Anita Blake series for awhile, but never picked it up. Now there are no excuses!
Having just read Flirt I was awesomely excited to join in this!
I knew I remembered seeing a challenge for Anita Blake somewhere! I've decided to particpate. Right now I've started re-reading the 5th book.
