I know I say this every month, but I honestly can’t believe that October is over. It seemed that summer was only yesterday and yet we have already had Halloween, and Guy Fawkes night is just around the corner… and then it’s Christmas! Now don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas, It’s my favourite time of year, but it just feels as though my life is speeding by and I have no control. Do you get that feeling?

Anyway, October was an amazing month. I hosted my first event: All Hallow’s Eve, and I think it went pretty well – what did you think? I really enjoyed reading and reviewing all the books, and the publishers and authors were fantastic with their contributions. Thanks to you guys too for making it a lot of fun – you commented on all my posts and made my guests feel really welcome. You entered all the competitions – some of you won lots of fab prizes too!

I will do things a bit differently next year, like start reading two months early so I can read and review all the books I want to. The big one though is to not go away!! I went on holiday for two weeks and I must say it was a bit of a challenge to organise stuff and tweet about guest posts/interviews. I kept getting the *evil eye* from my hubby. You know the one… usually it’s kept by for when I buy too many books, but this time it appeared if I got my iPhone out to tweet or the laptop to check posts. To be honest though he was a real trooper and we had an amazing time.

San Francisco and Las Vegas are both amazing cities. We were typical tourists and visited all the popular sights: Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Grand Canyon. We saw Bette Middler live, which was hilarious and I even managed to win a few hundred pounds on the slots! A few pics I thought I would share (click on the image for larger view):

Great wrap-up! Congrats on all your accomplishments. I look forward to what you bring about in the next few months.

I know exactly what look you're talking about.

While in Vegas, did you go to the Wax museum. I love that place.

Wow, what a trip! You couldn't have picked two more exciting cities. And don't feel bad…I went on vacation during BBAW, and boy did I get the evil eye!

Serena – I did go to the Madame Toussauds and it was really fun!

Miss Cindy – thanks for your lovely comments, I'm glad you liked the post and yes, I do it every month :)

Lisa – I've had my look for about four weeks now – so pleased you like it! We had wonderful views in San Fran and Las Vegas, amazing places :)

Kindle Vixen – the weather in San Fran was very similar to the UK but Las Vegas was warm. I love warm weather and we don't get too much of that in ol' Blighty ;)

Thanks everyone for stopping by! :)
