Who Designed BCC Banner?

It’s been about a month now since I launched my new blog design. The banner was the main feature and I love it. I wanted to let you know who was behind this amazing illustration. Her name is Lady Lauren and I found her while perusing iStockphoto. I loved her images, which I could buy direct from iStockphoto, but I knew I wanted something more bespoke (hence the pink hair!!) and have the copyright signed over to me.

I am a perfectionist and some would call a bit ‘anal’ but that’s just me, I like everything just so, and it was no different with my book chick! Lauren was so patient and every day we would email back and forth (as she’s is based in the US and I am in the UK). I tried to explain how I wanted something, she drew it, I tweaked it, and then it came back perfect. It took four weeks in total.

I think Lauren did an absolutely fantastic job and I really can’t thank her enough! Our working relationship hasn’t ended though as I have lots of other ideas that you will get to see throughout the year…

Wow, her work is amazing!!! This info might come in handy if I'm ever looking for someone to design my own banner, which is what I'd love to do, but I don't know what I want yet (definitely something pretty) … Anyway, great job on this beautiful banner of yours and her other works!

I can see why you were drawn to her! I'm also impressed with you that you had a vision of what you wanted. Even if I could have my website designed, I don't know that I would have a clue of what I wanted!

Sorry, I haven't been around lately. I've missed coming by!

I was wondering who you got to design the header. She did a great job. And aren't we all perfectionists!
