Cover Crush - UK Edition: Anita Blake Series by Laurell K. Hamilton
I have been in touch with a lovely publicist at Headline and she took time out of her busy day to send me all the available UK covers to the Anita Blake series. I think they are absolutely fab and wanted to share them with you. I must say I do think they are much better than the US versions - don't you agree? Hopefully I will be able to bring you the new cover for Bullet, the 19th book in the series, very soon.

To view larger images of the covers click HERE
They are also sponsoring The Anita Blake Challenge hosted here at BCC. They are giving away the entire Anita Blake series to one lucky participant of the challenge - sadly this contest is open to UK residents only - but obviously anyone can join the challenge!

Oh I like these covers a lot :)
I may be one of the last people in the world to read this series. I definitely want to this year though.
Right there with you Bella :P
I loooove these! I'm a cover whore and truth is, if I saw the US covers on the bookshelf, I wouldn't pick them up...
But these are great! xD
Love Cover Crush btw!
I love these covers, and I will read this series one day! I think I'd love it.
I much prefer these covers to the US ones, though I did quite like the original UK ones.
I like these covers as well!
I'm not too far into the series, but I have liked what I've read so far!
I definitely prefer these covers to the US covers. I am on the latest book in the Anita Blake series, Flirt.
These covers are SO much better than the new US ones (which I hate). I wish the US publisher had never changed them; I loved the old covers!
what a great collection of covers! i like them. i've only ever read the first in the series. but these covers make me want to read the rest.
These are some awesome covers. Too bad that in the later books, these covers are way better than the contents. Unless you like lots of angsty repetitive discussion. Then they're great!
oh wow those are some awesome covers!
I LOVE those covers!!! Makes me really want to read the series!
I'm so pleased that you are all loving the UK covers. I think they are really well done and interesting. The US versions are a little strange don't you think? With razor blades and flick knives... hmm
As always, thanks so much for stopping by to comment :)
I actually prefer the US covers, though these are very good as well (especially #1, #2, #5, #6 and #13).
It's a shame I don't like the series, or I'd definetly by the collection based on the covers (of either version).
OMG, why, why, why do the US covers have to suck so much? I hate them, and it keeps me from trying to collect the series. I get them at the library, and return their ugly asses asap.
Now these babies, I'd want to keep. Don't the publisher's realize they're hurting sales? The arty-farty designer who did the US cover should be ducking in shame compared to this work.
Rebecca - LOL, I totally agree :D
Wow, they are so deep. Also, very scary.
These covers are incredible. They are just gorgeous!!
You are right. Those covers as sooooo much better than the US versions. :D *pout*
Wow, those covers are great. Too bad the actual books aren't. :(
I'm currently reading this series, and I'm finishing book two - these UK covers are much better, I think:)
