This is the gorgeous new cover for Alpha, the sixth book in the Shifters series by Rachel Vincent, which she revealed on her blog only moments ago. I have been dying to post this but knew Rachel wanted to reveal it herself first, so I waited – it was tough I can tell you, especially as I saw it last week on The Pride, her online forum.

The cover of Rogue is still my favourite, but I think this is a gorgeous addition to the series, it has a different feel from the other covers I think. It’s quite dark, I wonder if that is because the story has turned darker too? I haven’t read this series but I have just bought the first book, Stray, so I’m looking forward to cracking on with it. I couldn’t find the name of the artist anywhere, but as soon as I do I will post it here.

So, what do you guys think – you likey?

Fall/Autumn 2010
MIRA

Summary
The unscrupulous new Council chair has charged Jace, Marc, and me with trespassing, kidnapping, murder, and treason. Yeah, we’ve been busy. But now it’s time to take justice into our own hands. We must avenge my brother’s death and carve out the rot at the heart of the Council.

It’s not going to be easy, and loss seems unavoidable, but I have promised to protect my Pride, no matter what. With a target on my back and Marc at my side, I’m heading for a final showdown that can–that will–change everything forever. A showdown I’m not sure I’m ready for. But life never waits until you’re ready.

It's beautiful, I think it conveys Faythe's power and where I think she is going to end up! I don't want to spoil anything but I can't wait to you catch up :)

I saw this one where you did for the first time. I loved it. I am so behind on this series. I need to pick it back up. I really like it.

It's beautiful, and I think it completes (and ends) the series perfectly! I can't wait to read it (although I still have to read Shift!)
