Welcome to The ‘Men of Urban Fantasy’ Week. The urban fantasy genre has been going for a good number of years and was concretely established as a genre by writers such as Tanya Huff and Laurell K. Hamilton, and since then has produced a wealth of female authors such as Kelley Armstrong, Kat Richardson, Charlaine Harris among many others. This genre is dominated by female writers (and mostly by female protagonists).
However, there are men who write in this genre too. So this week I will be highlighting some of the best male urban fantasy writers around. There will be book reviews, guest posts and of course a few contests too. So please stop by and hopefully you will find a new-to-you author and discover lots of lovely new books to read.

Yeah! I'm excited for this. I loved the graphic when you posted it earlier. And I'm interested to see what WLP thinks of Child of Fire as I have that waiting for me to read.

This is a very cool feature =)
It's true that this genre has been dominated by the ladies…I'm very curious to see what the guys can bring to the table!
I'll be sure to stop by and check out your daily posts.

I'll be interested in to see what you think of Nekropolis and Child of Fire. Child of Fire was deeply deeply flawed and Nekropolis while ok, wasn't really worth the time it took to read it.
Butcher, Carey, Huston, Tim Pratt, Simon R. Green, Richard Kadney are all great examples of Men of UF worth talking about.
