In My Mailbox (#38)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren
Hi everyone! Hope you're having a fabtastic weekend. Over the last two weeks I've received some amazing books. I received 27 for review, won 5, and bought 15! Gulp!
The books I bought are mostly historical romance as I'm having a bit of a "phase" at the moment. Having read my first one a couple of weeks ago, I now find that I can't get enough and have to read everything in sight! ;) I bought a few while away on holiday and then via Amazon - I honestly didn't realise I bought so many! *damn that one-click button*
As usual there are a few review books that stand out and they are: Feed, Happy Hour at Casa Dracula, The Alchemy of Murder, Infinity, Dark Goddess and The Tudor Wife, but all books sent to me sound great and I can't wait to read them! All links are to Goodreads.
FOR REVIEW

Thanks to Walker Books I won:

Thanks to Harper Voyager I won:

NB: As you know, there are books that I receive for review from time to time that I will not read/review for Book Chick City due to genre or the book just doesn't appeal to me. I have set it up so you can now view all these book on my Goodreads shelf: BOOKS TO OUTSOURCE.
If you are a reviewer and like any book from this list and are interested in reviewing it on your own blog, then send me an email (bookchickcity [at] dsl [dot] pipex [dot] com) along with the book you wish to review. The only thing I ask is that you can pay for postage via Paypal and have had a book review blog for more than six months.

Oh Great books! My Name Is Memory sounds so good, I'm looking forward to that one!
Wow! That's a lot of books!
Great books! I love the Julia Quinn covers! I recently read What Happens in London, and although it's not what I expected, I enjoyed it. I really want to get into historical romances this summer!
Anyway, happy reading! =)
OMG you got so many books. Some of them look really good. Hope you enjoy them
Wow, you received so many amazing books! Happy reading!
Uh, wow, look at all these amazing books. And look at the genres, they are making me very giddy!! Romance, whooo! Hope you enjoy them all Carolyn :-)
Nice haul! :)
I see you have S. Laurens and M. Balogh on the list. I wonder what you will think of those.
Whoa, what an amazing haul! Yay for My Name Is Memory and I quite like your historical romance phase - I'll definitely be checking out your reviews! :)
That is quite the hall! I didn't know Meg Rosoff had a new book, I'll have to go to Goodreads and check that out.
I'm very curious about My Name is Memory, I look forward to your thoughts!
Ooh, GREAT books! Are you going to read The Summer I Turned Pretty? I'm not sure if it's your thing or not, but I absolutely loved it. The second one is great too!
Also very excited you got the new S&S YA books, and Jenna Fox. You have a lot of brilliant stuff to read!
I'm looking forward to your historical romance reviews.. I'm intrigued ;)
Holy Moly - you are going to be one very busy lady with all those great books. have fun and enjoy them.
You're going to have a great summer with these good finds! I would love to read My Name Is Memory. You might also enjoy L.R. Saul's new fantasy book called, "Bloodline Alliance." I just finished it and was totally enthralled. The story is unforgettable and the characters stick with you. I hope you can check it out!
The Summer I Turned Pretty is one of my favorite light reads--I hope you like it! And all those historical romances look so good.
Ok, I'm so jealous ;)
Awesome books!!!
I hope you'll enjoy them all!!!
Happy reading!!!

I'm fairly new to romance genre, especially to the historical romances. But My first and only (so far) knowledge of them is with Mary Balogh & I love the Huxtable series. Book 3 (Margaret's story) was my personal favorite but I've yet to read book 5. I really like the cover of the one u got better than the one I had for First Comes Marriage, too. I'm looking forward to trying some Lisa Kleypas books & also Julia Quinn's 10 Things I Love About You.
I bought Infinity & Spirit Bound yesterday though so I'll be busy with those first :)
Amazing collection of books! Congratulations on all of the review titles and contest wins! Enjoy!
I love Julia Quinn! Love the covers too! Have fun reading.
Wow! What a mailbox! I thought mine last week was a monster, but I think you've got me beat with these.
Happy Reading!
Great mailbox this week!!
I'm really looking forward to your thoughts on your historical romance bundle o' books you've bought =)
Wow. That is a ton of new books! Looks like you're gonna have a busy summer ahead!
I'm really interesting in reading some of the books that you aren't intending to read, I just don't have a paypal account :( It's a great idea though, passing along books like that.
