As you probably know, I’m more of a Horror/Urban Fantasy chick than one for all that lovey-dovey stuff. But that’s what I thought before actually reading it! Now I have dipped my toes into the romance genre, I am loving it! So, to celebrate this new found love of ROMANCE, I have decided to host a short reading challenge: 2010 Summer Romance Challenge! This sounds like a really fun challenge though I don't think it would fit in too well on my sff blog :( I discovered romance by accident and I often read one in between fantasy books as a way to clear my mind for the next book. Lisa Kelypas is one of my favorites, and I've never heard of the book Cross Stitch, though I've read almost all of Diana Gabaldon's other books, so I'll have to look it up. Enjoy your romance reading!

You have a great list going! Oh my, hold onto your hat with Dark Lover, if you do NOT become addicted and continue to devour the other brothers I'll be shocked. These books rocked. I haven't read Cross Stich either, but her Outlander series is so very touching, a sweet romance if you want to read them. Here are my reviews of Outlander
and Dragonfly In Amber books 1 and 2 of the series.

Simcha – Well, mu blog was just dedicated to Speculative Fiction (love horror & urban fantasy) but then I read mystery and then romance, so now I will post what I want, it is my blog after all – so now there will be something for everyone, hopefully :)

'Cross Stitch' is the UK title to 'Outlander' first book in the series :) I've heard it's really good so will enjoy getting to read that one! :)

luv46kdv – Thanks! List may change though as I start finding other romances! I've heard Dark Lover is SO good which is why I bought it – can't wait to read it and see if it's as good as everyone tells me LOL. Also thanks for the review links – heading over now :)

Wow, I can't wait to partake of the challenge! ^^ I know I've turned some (or a lot) of heads with my romance reading, but I love an excuse to dig into some novels. :P Hope you don't mind if I through some gay romances in there. ^^

I love romance novels so I'm happy that you've discovered romance and will be reading more.

My favorites that you mentioned are The Duke & I by Julia Quinn and Mine til Midnight by Lisa Kleypas. Both are great books!

Good luck and happy reading!

Diana Gabaldon and J. R. Ward are awesome. You should try Brenda Joyce, Teresa Medieros, and Jenny Crusie.

If you liked Lisa Kleypas' historicals, you should try one of her contemporaries. She has three – Sugar Daddy, Blue-Eyed Devil, and Smooth Talking Stranger and they are fantastic.
