On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It’s where I list all the books I desperately want but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. It’s also an event that you can join in with too – Mr Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own ‘On My Wishlist’ post. I really enjoyed Hush Hush, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how the next book in the series matches up. When the cover was first released I didn’t think much of it, but it’s really growing on me and now I love it
Crescendo (Hush Hush #2)
Becca Fitzpatrick (Simon & Schuster)
Publication Date: Oct 2010 (US)
Genre: Fantasy, Angels
Young Adult
Goodreads Summary:
Nora should have know her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can’t figure out if it’s for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.
The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father’s death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn’t answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

I read the first book in the Recipe for Love series, Can’t Stand the Heat and really enjoyed it. I then read On the Steamy side, which was good but not as good as the first book, but I like the author’s style, so really want to read this one.
Just One Taste (Recipe For Love #3)
Louisa Edwards (St Martin’s Press)
Publication Date: Aug 2010 (US)
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Author’s Website Summary:
He has a hungry mind.
Bad-boy chef Wes Murphy dreads his final semester cooking class—Food Chemistry 101—until he meets the new substitute teacher. Dr. Rosemary Wilkins is a feast for the eyes, though her approach to food is strictly academic. So Wes decides to rattle her Bunsen burner by asking for her hands-on advice—on aphrodisiacs . . .
She’s got love down to a science.
Rosemary is a little wary about working with Wes, whose casual flirtations leave her hot under the collar. But once they begin testing the love-enhancing power of chocolate, oysters, and strawberries, it becomes scientifically evident that the brainy science nerd and the boyish chef have some major chemistry together—and it’s delicious . . .

If you like paranormal, you should look into Trance by Linda Gerber. It's her first take on the paranormal genre.
