I first saw this cover for ‘Werewolf in Manhattan‘ by Vicki Lewis Thompson over at All Things Urban Fantasy and I really like it. It’s quite subtle for paranormal romance and has a bit of a ‘chick-lit’ feel to it but I like the illustration and the colours are nice. Although I think it would look better if the colours were ever so slightly darker to really make the moon and lamp shine and in turn further highlight the wolf in the background.

I haven’t read anything by this author before but I do have a few of her other books on my wishlist. I will definitely be picking up a copy of this when it’s released. It looks and sounds really fun.

Summary
Emma Gavin writes about werewolves, but that doesn’t mean she believes in them-not until a pack of real-life New York weres decide to investigate the striking accuracy of her “fiction”.

I never heard of this author before – but this book now is on my wishlist ;) I do like the cover – but I think it could be just a little more darker, so one doesn't mix it up with a chick-lit book. But yeah, this cover looks great :D

I actually quite like the cover — it is a bit chick lit-ish, but the art is striking enough to make it look fluffy (in a good way). I agree about the darker colors, tho — that might make it a bit more paranormal-y looking.

I saw this cover at All Things Urban Fantasy too. I've never heard of the author but the book looks good! And I like the whole chick-lit paranormal look. But I agree, it could have been lighter on the chick-lit and heavier on the paranormal.

I like the cover but you're right. It needs to be darker. If the word wasn't in the title, I wouldn't have thought it was about werewolves at all. The book sounds good though. It's def. going on my TBR list.

I like the cover with the soft colors. It might be interesting to see the cover with darker colors and compare the two. I am looking forward to reading this book when it is released! :)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting – I think we are pretty much all in agreement what a great cover it is but it would have maybe been better a little darker so that it had a bit more of a paranormal feel. I must say I'm really looking forward to its release though, it sounds great! :)
