Welcome to the Christmas Edition of On My Wishlist!
Merry Christmas!! I hope you all have a fantastic time! :D

I love the cover of this one – really Christmassy – I also love a good historical romance and this sounds like a perfect Christmas romance.

A Christmas Promise
Mary Balogh (Dell)
Publication Date: Oct 2010
Genre: Historical Romance

Goodreads Summary:
A love that cannot be bought or sold proves to be the greatest gift of all, in this heartwarming classic that demonstrates once again why New York Times bestselling author Mary Balogh is among the most celebrated authors of historical romance.

Weddings are supposed to be joyous occasions—especially when a couple seems as well matched as Randolph Pierce, Earl of Falloden, and his bride-to-be, Eleanor Transome. Ellie brings to the marriage a vast dowry, while Falloden, though distant, is handsome, tremendously desirable, and possessed of a title most young ladies can only dream of sharing.

Yet Ellie is not most young ladies. She knows that she must honor her dear father’s dying wish for her to wed the proud earl, but she dreads a lifetime in a union without love—and how can Falloden claim to love her when he married her only for her fortune? As Christmas descends upon the Falloden manor, the warmth of the season may yet melt away the trappings of duty and wealth, leaving behind only a man and a woman destined for each other’s arms.

I’m not taken with the cover of this one, a little bit cheesy, but the stories sound fun :)

The Bite Before Christmas
Heidi Betts (Brava)
Publication Date: Oct 2010
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Goodreads Summary:

In Heidi Betts’s collection of holiday novellas, vampires turn to Angelina Bertolli—vampire matchmaker extraordinaire—to help them find that special someone to curl up with under the mistletoe…

“All I Vant For Christmas”

Connor loves trimming the Christmas tree, baking gingerbread cookies, and hanging the mistletoe. But his vampire siblings won’t help. His friend Angelina sends party planner Jillian to the rescue. But when Jillian, who’s mortal, discovers she’s decking the halls for a family of vampires, will she run—or will Connor have a beautiful woman to share the holidays with?

“A Vampire in Her Stocking”

When Vivian learns that her secret crush Nick is terminally ill, she’s heartbroken. Confiding in Angelina, Vivian refuses to turn Nick into a vampire. Deciding to play Santa, Angelina changes Nick and leaves him wrapped in a red bow on Vivian’s doorstep…

“It’s A Wonderful Bite”

Although Angelina is happy with her boyfriend Sergio, she’s ready for a commitment. After drinking eggnog and watching It’s a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve, Angelina falls into a dream where she is mortal and Sergio isn’t interested in her. Talk about the nightmare before Christmas! But Santa must have checked his list twice because this Christmas Angelina’s wishes are coming true…

Christmas, a body and a mystery to solve…sounds good to me!

‘Twas The Bite Before Christmas
Lee Charles Kelley (Avon)
Publication Date: Nov 2005
Genre: Mystery

Goodreads Summary:

IT’S CHRISTMAS TIME. THERE’S MAGIC IN THE
AIR . . .AND A BODY IN THE MANSION!

Maine kennel owner and ex-cop Jack Field was hoping to spend a quiet evening in front of the fire with his canine pals and his smart and sexy ladylove, state medical examiner Dr. Jamie Cutter. But his plans go up in smoke when a young housemaid is found murdered in the Bright mansion a few nights before Santa’s big day.

Jack quickly determines that there are three main suspects — a convicted killer, a chauffeur with a shady past, and a mysterious con-man professor. Add to the poisonous eggnog Daisy, a kidnapped Dalmatian puppy; Max and Fritz, two superbly trained Doberman pinschers; and a vengeful Russian mob boss, and it’s no Christmas miracle that Jack, Jamie, and their canine cronies are sniffing around something that could very well come back to bite them or, even worse, take them on a doggone Christmas slay ride!
