I love my iPad – it’s gorgeous to look at and beautifully designed. But those of you who follow me on Twitter as well as my blog know that although I love my iPad with a passion, I can’t read books on it. It’s too big for my small hands and a touch too heavy. I have since heard that Apple maybe launching a ‘mini’ iPad *just for me of course*
If this is true I will be the first in line to buy one! But until then I use my Kindle 3 which is amazing, but doesn’t come close to the sheer techno beauty that is the iPad.
However, I have been looking around the web for an iPad case more interesting than the black suede one I have at present. I came across these….a case disguised as a vintage leather bound hardback book from BookBook. I think they’re fab!
Here’s a bit of blurb about the case: Handmade in genuine soft-touch leather with a padded interior and dual zips, this stealthy case features a hard inner frame which, in conjunction with a sturdy spine, offers serious impact/crush protection. It also doubles up as a fully adjustable stand.
I have read a review that said although this is a lovely case it’s not particularly comfortable to hold – I’m not sure I care as it’s just so lovely. I love things that look old and this case would look great in my office (soon-to-be library).
What do you think? Do you like or is the case too old fashioned looking for your modern tastes? Personally I love it, but I think I’ll wait and see if the ‘mini’ iPad is a real possibility and maybe BookBook will do a mini case for it too

Who cares if it is uncomfortable to hold with the IPad in the case, would take it off while using anyway! That is a gorgeous idea for a case and you are so right it would make the actual IPad into a good looking Coffee Table display piece!
Nice find Caroline, will bookmark the site so if and when my husband gets his IPad he might get this type of case too!

Books Glorious Books – I agree! LOL
Kai (FTOM) – It is lovely…
Jessica – It's so nice isn't it!
Jackie – Exactly, I'd take it off to use it as well. It's just a lovely case to protect the iPad (as well as looking beautiful) when not in use!
titania86 – My sentiments exactly!

Looks great. Also… hmm… I think I could make one. Although I'd need an iPad to make sure I had the right size.

Melissa – Hehe, well if you do get around to making one, put one aside especially for me LOL
Staci – I would *love* a mini iPad – it would be much more suited to my small hands and it would be less heavy….keeping fingers crossed
Ms Ulat Buku – The iPad is a great device, and I use it for most things except reading eBooks, that's why I hope Apple brings out a 'mini' iPad that would be so great

I love mu ipad too, but totally agree with you that it's too big as an ereader and use my Sony for that.
I scoured the internet for ages looking for a case for it, adamant that I wasn't going to get the standard issue Apple one. And have a fab pink leather one (I know so girly). But this is cute, I like it
