As you know I love a series and there seems to be so many new one’s about at the moment, I honestly don’t know how I’m going to keep up and read them all. Here is another one that sounds great!

To Walk the Night
E. S. Moore (Kensington)
Publication Date: Jan 2012

Genre: Urban Fantasy

Kat Redding is the very thing she hunts: a vampire, thirsting for blood, capable of killing any creature unlucky enough to get in her path. The difference is, Kat kills her own kind in order to protect human Purebloods. She’s good at what she does. Good enough to earn the nickname Lady Death—and the enmity of every bloodthirsty being around. But now a vampire Count is intent on merging his House with a werewolf cult to create a force of terrifying power.
Kat can’t allow that to happen. Even if it means taking on a den of weres and a vampire more ruthless than any she’s encountered before. She has the weapons, the skill, and a few allies. But that may not be enough to eliminate the Count before her own dark nature rises to the surface—and costs her whatever is left of her humanity… (Goodreads)

I have read and thoroughly enjoyed the first three books in this series, and I can’t wait to read this one – however, the books I have are the UK editions released by Mira, but ‘Notorious‘ is not released here yet. So I have a dilemma…do I give in and by the US edition, which has a different cover so I can get my Cornick fix, or do I wait until the UK edition is released so I keep my collection intact? Oh decisions, decisions…
Notorious (The Scandalous Women of the Ton #4)
Nicola Cornick (Harlequin)
Publication Date: July 2011

Genre: Historical Romance

When the ton’s most notorious heartbreaker…
Dangerously seductive and sinfully beautiful, Susanna Burney is society’s most sought after matchbreaker. Paid by wealthy parents to part unsuitable couples, she’s never yet failed to accomplish her mission of diverting a groom-to-be. Until her final assignment brings her face-to-face with the man who’d once taught her an intimate lesson in heartache….
Meets London’s most disreputable rake…
James Devlin has everything he’s always wanted: a title, a rich fiancée and a place in society. But the woman who’s just met his eyes across a crowded ballroom threatens it all. Not because she’d once claimed his heart, or that every sinuous swirl of her ball gown takes his breath away. But because the secrets she carries could cost him everything. To put the past to rest once and for all, Dev just might have to play Susanna at her own wicked game….
Let the seduction begin! (Goodreads)

This sounds like a really interesting contemporary romance. I’ve heard good things about Shiloh Walker, but never read any of her books so maybe this one would be a good place to start?

Fragile (Rafferty #1)
Shiloh Walker (Berkley Trade)

Publication Date: Feb 2009

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Six years after trading in his combat gear for hospital scrubs, Luke Rafferty is faced with things just as heartbreaking as those on the battlefield. The abused children being brought in by the pretty redheaded social worker tug at his soul like nothing he’s ever known. For Devon Manning, being a social worker is a rewarding job, but also a constant reminder of her own troubled youth.
Devon takes everything one day at a time-unable to form a relationship with anyone except the children she rescues. When Luke meets Devon, he thinks he might have found what he’s been looking for, but in order to get the life he wants, Luke has to break through Devon’s emotional barriers and make her realize that his healing touch might be just the complication her life needs… (Goodreads)

I really do love the Kate Daniels series, book four has to have been my favourite so far. So I really cannot wait to get my hands on the latest instalment!

Magic Slays (Kate Daniels #5)

Ilona Andrews (Ace)

Publication Date: May 2011

Genre: Urban Fantasy

Plagued by a war between magic and technology, Atlanta has never been so deadly. Good thing Kate Daniels is on the job. Kate Daniels may have quit the Order of Merciful Aid, but she’s still knee-deep in paranormal problems. Or she would be if she could get someone to hire her.
Starting her own business has been more challenging than she thought it would be—now that the Order is disparaging her good name, and many potential clients are afraid of getting on the bad side of the Beast Lord, who just happens to be Kate’s mate. So when Atlanta’s premier Master of the Dead calls to ask for help with a vampire on the loose, Kate leaps at the chance of some paying work. Turns out this is not an isolated incident, and Kate needs to get to the bottom of it—fast, or the city and everyone dear to her might pay the ultimate price… (Goodreads)

So that’s what’s on our wishlists – what’s on yours?

I like the sound of Fragile. There's one review on Amazon that says the author doesn't hold back – good choice for your wishlist Laura!

My keeper shelf September 3, 2011 at 10:22 am

Every week I add more books to my TBR list after looking at everyone's wish lists, I echo the earlier comments – Laura Magic Slays is a must read, it's Kate and Curran after all.

Oh those do look like good series to get into! I'm with you, tho… don't know when I'll have time to get to them all!

Barbara September 3, 2011 at 12:46 pm

A friend just got me to finally read Jeaniene Frosts' series so I could get what all the fuss was about with Cat and Bones. Now I need to get with the program and read Ilona Andrews' so I can get to Kate and Curran, which was supposed to have come first. :)

I've had Magic Slays on my Nook since release day but I've not gotten to it yet. The next book doesn't come out until 2013 so I'm going to hold off on reading it just yet so I don't have over a year wait.

Jennifer @ Feminist Fairytale Reviews September 3, 2011 at 4:50 pm

Oooh…Fragile sounds good! I also really need to get going on the Kate Daniels series!

Bungle September 3, 2011 at 6:22 pm

Notorious sounds really good!

Shari September 3, 2011 at 11:31 pm

All great looking books!Have a great weekend!

Maria Behar September 4, 2011 at 1:49 am

WOW!! These all sound like really AWESOME reads!! Hope you both get to read them soon!! And I want them all….NOW. Lol. Gotta put 'em on my Amazon wish list!

BTW, Carolyn…if I were you, I'd wait until the UK edition came out. I know how it feels not to have the same style on your book covers. I have "Nightshade" and "Wolfsbane", by Andrea Cremer, in the hardcover editions, and I'm still mad at the publishers for not keeping the same artist for both books! These covers don't match!! The problem here is, I just have to "grin and bear it". There's no way I can get the previously-designed cover on the second book. But YOU can have all of your books in this vamp series with the same style! You lucky girl!! I'd wait, if I were you!

Have a GREAT weekend, both of you!! : )

Alyssa@Teens Read and Write September 4, 2011 at 4:00 am

Sagacity Quest September 10, 2011 at 6:06 am
