NEW FEATURES: The first is our “Debut Author Spotlight” – we will bring you all the news of up and coming debut authors in the genres of horror, urban fantasy and paranormal romance. Each post will contain all the relevant book information as well as an insight into the author behind the book! I’m excited about this feature as I love finding new authors!AFFILIATES: I have been emailed by many of you asking for more links to books than just Goodreads, so I have now begun to include links to Amazon UK & US and The Book Depository to most of my posts. I will also mention that these links are affiliated. Any money earned from these links will go straight back into the blog to help with costs such as postage for national and international giveaways.

CAROLYN: I went a little bit crazy again this month…oh I’m just so naughty! *slaps wrist* But there were just so many fab deals going on at Amazon that my finger just went crazy with the one-click button. LAURA: Sadly, I’m on a bit of a book buying ban at the moment with Christmas around the corner and the recent arrival of my son (if you missed it, read more here), so I have to keep mentally keeping myself away from the Amazon one-click for the kindle. It’s very hard I have to say! It’s ok, don’t feel too sorry for me, I do have so many books on my to read shelf I could open my own mini library. Sadly this did mean I couldn’t possibly argue with my husband I really NEEDED anymore. Hmm… I wonder how long my will power will last! The kindle makes it very easy to sneak new ones in
• Lure of the Mummy by Janis Susan May (5/10)
• Always Angel by Heather Killough-Walden (7/10)
• Shakespeare’s Landlord by Charlaine Harris (7/10)
• Unholy Magic by Stacia Kane (8/10)

CAROLYN: I think it has to be ‘Shakespeare’s Landlord‘ – I’m loving Charlaine Harris right now. Can’t wait to continue the series

LAURA: My favourite book of the week has to be ‘Personal Demons‘ by Lisa Desrochers. I’ve not read any YA for a while and I really enjoyed this one. Great start to a new series (review to come).
CAROLYN: I’ve just finished ‘Grave Witch‘ by Kalayna Price, (review coming next week) and I’m now reading ‘Archangel’s Blade‘ which I started but then put on hold because of Black October (confused? read this).

LAURA: This week I’ve read ‘Personal Demons‘ by Lisa Desrochers and I’ve started ‘Crushed Seraphim‘ by Debra Anastasia. I’ve had a bit of a slow reading week towards the end of the week and not read as much as I would have liked, hopefully I can squeeze in some extra reading time this weekend. I also usually have an audio book on the go, but this normally takes me several weeks to listen to. I’m currently listening to ‘The Spirit Eater‘ by Rachel Aaron.

We have lots of great stuff coming up this week including Laura’s review of ’Bullet‘ by Laurell K. Hamilton and her ”Thoughtful Ramblings” post, “Book Borrowing Etiquette: The Hidden Dangers!”, a guest post and giveaway with Debra Anastasia, author of ‘Crushed Seraphim‘ and ‘Poughkeepsie‘. Ashley from The Bookish Brunette will be stopping by to showcase some of the books she loves and I’ll be reviewing ‘Grave Witch’ by Kalayna Price.

I have posted the details & sign-up posts to all my reading challenges I’m running for 2012. I’m excited and looking forward to getting started. If you want to find out more information or to sign up, then click the buttons on my sidebar!
