On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by
Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It’s where we list all the books we desperately want but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. It’s also an event that you can join in with too – Mr Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own ‘On My Wishlist’ post. If you want to know more click

CAROLYN’S WISHLIST
I found this book while over at
All Things Urban Fantasy and I love this cover – if it wasn’t for the model’s stance, with her pouty expression and jutting breasts, it would be one of my favourites of the year. However, it looks as though it could be an awesome urban fantasy, and it’s a debut!
Boyfriend from Hell (Saturn’s Daughter #1)
Jamie Quaid (Pocket Books)
Publication Date: May 2012
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Amazon: UK Paperback
| US Paperback
The Book Depository
Summary:
A young woman discovers she is a daughter of Saturn, gifted with the power to dispense justice…for good or evil. (Goodreads)
This sounds like it could be a really fun read and the cover is pretty nice too.
Santa Olivia (Santa Olivia #1)
Jacqueline Carey (Grand Central Publishing)
Publication Date: May 2009
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Amazon: UK Paperback | US Paperback
The Book Depository
Summary:
Lushly written with rich and vivid characters, Santa Olivia is Jacqueline Carey’s take on comic book superheroes and the classic werewolf myth. (Goodreads)
LAURA’S WISHLIST
I read the
first book in Laura Kreitzer’s ‘
Timeless’ series about this time last year and really enjoyed it. So I’d like to see how it progresses as it ended with a killer cliffhanger!
Summary:
Being the Illuminator is not all happiness and light, especially when everyone thinks you are dead. When Gabriella decides to finally let her angels know that she is alive, Joseph and an unexpected friend help her. The Darkness Illuminator is not as in control of her power as she believes, which makes for a very comedic and endearing relationship that blooms between the three. A fender-bender debacle, a run-in with the cops, and a hiccup at the airport seem to all be worth it until Gabriella finds out her plan has backfired.
The three angels are missing, more mysteries pile up, and a new evil is brewing – so terrifying, in fact, that even the Soul Stalker herself is cowering in fear. Our heroine begins a jarring, romance-filled, heart-breaking journey that will lead her back to Italy, and ultimately to the answers she is desperately searching for. What will she do when they aren’t the answers she expected? What happens when she unveils a truth, so deeply hidden, that it causes an angelic war? (Goodreads)
I loved
‘Everyone Loves A Hero‘ by Marie Force, probably my favourite romance of the year, so I would really like to give some of her other books a go.
Summary:
Washington, D.C., Metro Police Detective Sergeant Sam Holland needs a big win to salvage her career—and her confidence—after a disastrous investigation. The perfect opportunity arises when Senator John O’Connor is found brutally murdered in his bed, and Sam is assigned to the case. Matters get complicated when Sam has to team up with Nick Cappuano, O’Connor’s friend and chief of staff…and the man Sam had a memorable one-night stand with years earlier. Their sexual chemistry still sizzles, and Sam has to fight to stay focused on the case. Sleeping with a material witness is another mistake she can’t afford—especially when the bodies keep piling up. (Goodreads)
So, that’s what’s on our wishlists this week – what’s on yours?
