My guest today is the awesome Mandi from Smexy Books. Smexy Books was created in March of 2009 and reviews all genres of romance and urban fantasy. They currently have four reviewers.Smexy Books is one of my go-to blogs for all things romance as they review a lot of books and have great reviews. Be sure you stop by her blog, or say hi on Twitter. She’s a very friendly lady!
This is Mandi’s bio from her blog:
She lives two lives. One at home with a husband and two boys. Another surrounded by romantic happily ever afters and sometimes if she is feeling daring, a dangerous urban fantasy world. She has collected numerous fictional boyfriends along the way that keep her quite busy. While she has many favourite authors, on her auto-buy list currently are Courtney Milan, Cara McKenna, Ilona Andrews, Nalini Singh and Marie Sexton….just to name a few.

It’s really tough to list just a few of my favorite books because I have so many! But I’ll pick a couple that hold a special place in my heart.
Grimspace by Ann Aguirre starts off an amazing science fiction series and guess what? I always say I’m not a huge fan of science fiction. But Ann Aguirre writes the most fascinating characters and what she puts them through during this series, and how they grow and evolve, blows me away. She redefines love in a romance book.
The heroine Sirantha Jax is faced with a very complicated, yet warm and sweet loving relationship. Without giving spoilers away, by book four, the romance is somewhat out of the box for your standard romance book. And I really can’t wait to see how it all plays out in the final book, End Game.

Cut & Run by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux is book one of their amazing series about two male FBI agents, Ty and Zane who become partners in work and love. They start out hating each other, but slowly they start to have feelings for each other and it is so sexy! Each book also has a very strong romantic suspense storyline.
Their emotional journey is so overwhelming and written so well, it wrecks me for days after I read a book in this series. I am completely enamored with Ty and Zane and eagerly anticipate each new release.

One of the best historical romances I have read this year is The Black Hawk by Joanna Bourne. An amazing love story that takes you through time as Adrian Hawker, English spy falls in love with French spy, Justine DeCabrillan in the late 1700’s. Although their work continuously pulls them apart, so many years later, they are still drawn together.
A truly lovely book and I recommend this author’s back list as well.
