As a second daughter, Grace Andreas never had to worry about the intrigues of the Elder Races. But when her sister, Petra, and her husband are both killed, Grace inherits the Power and responsibilities of the Oracle of Louisville, as well as her sister’s two young children – neither of which she is prepared for.

Yet, she is not alone. Khalil, Demonkind and Djinn Prince of House Marid – driven by his genuine caring for the children – has decided to make himself a part of the household, both as their guardian and as an exasperating counterpoint to Grace’s impudence towards the Elder Races. But when an attempt is made on Grace’s life, she realises that Khalil is the only one can protect her – and offer her more than any mortal man… (Amazon)

CAROLYN’S THOUGHTS

I think this is a lovely addition to the UK covers. I love the title font and the burnt orange colour – very striking. These covers really compliment each other and I think will look very nice as a set on my shelf!

LAURA’S THOUGHTS

This cover follows the pretty theme that we’ve seen in the rest of the series. I’m a big a fan of the font, I like how it almost looks like it’s magical. The background is warm and and expressive, as though the whole cover is on fire. Which looks stunning framed by the silhouette of the trees.

These covers are gorgeous! I love the ‘swirly-dos’ in the font and how each cover is a different color.

I agree – the font is very pretty and although they are very alike the different covers make them distinctive :)

I just love it when books in a series match and look pretty on your bookshelf.

I love how they are in a theme.

My OCD kicks in at times when publishers changes the cover mid series and then it doesn’t match the rest.

Oh me too!! I HATE it when publishers change half way through a series. I then have to go and buy the entire series again!! But maybe that’s there plan… I’m having to do this with the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs.
