Hello! It’s a lovely new week and time for our Monday Mashup it’s Laura this week. It’s gloriously sunny here in the UK and I have been making the most of the lovely weather with a BBQ over the weekend. It’s also my birthday today, so I’m in a super happy mood 
Waterstones Makes A Deal With Kindle
The big news last week in the UK book world was the deal giant bookstore chain Waterstones has made with Amazon Kindle. Which means that you will be able to download books onto your kindle whilst browsing in store. They will also be offering the famous ‘3 for 2′ book offer via your Kindle. I LOVE this idea! As most of the new books I buy now are for my Kindle, I do miss that store browsing experience of finding a book you haven’t heard of before in a store, and of course the fabulous new book smell. I really hope, as fellow reviewer Gemma said when we were chatting about it, that I’ll be able to get my Waterstones loyalty points too! Source: Guardian Books
Book Earrings
Whilst browsing around I came across this fabulous website that sells earrings, jewellery and accessoires all book themed, including some very gorgeous hair clips and the little earrings below! How cute? Browsing through their site, it looks as though unfortunately they only ship to the US *sniff* but it’s definitely worth a browse and a window shop even if you’re not US based.
Pattinson To Play Finnick?
There is a rumour that the lovely Mr. Edward Cullen himself aka Robert Pattinson may be set to play Finnick in the film adaptation of CATCHING FIRE, the second in The Hunger Games trilogy. At the time of writing this, this was not confirmed. But, what do you think? A potentially good casting choice? They did in my humble opinion get it very wrong with Hamitch. I personally am not sure, while Pattinson is undoubtedly handsome, I’m not quite sure that he’s handsome enough. I’m thinking that Chris Hemsworth for example would be a better choice. Do you agree? Handbag Cake
For any of you who follow me on twitter or have read of these posts before, you will know I have a bit of a thing for handbags! So, as it’s my birthday and when it was Carolyn’s I found an awesome zombie cake for her, I thought I would find a cake out there for me too. You can never have too much cake can you? There are lots of amazing ones out there, honestly just google handbag cake I was astonished at the talent. But of those I looked, here is one of my favourites. The pink flower detail makes all the difference

I have not read The Hunger Game series yet
I am hoping to soon though. First I have to wait until my room mate gives it back to me lol I loved the movie XD I always like those types of Dystopians. I was a big fan of the Battle Royal novel.

Pattinson as Finnick. YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME. If they do that, I won’t look that movie. EVER. Ohhh, seriously, I hope that this is just a rumor, otherwise they will make a big mistake. Finnick is one of my favorite characters besides Haymitch, so they better not spoil him by casting such an actor! (I’m sorry, but I just don’t like Pattinson, AT ALL.)

Oh dear, I’m not a Pattinson hater, I do like him in Twilight, but he’s just not how I imagine Finnick to be. What did you think of Woody Harrelson as Haymitch as I didn’t think that was great casting either?

On the subject of The Hunger Games and Paterrson, he has confirmed he won’t be in it. I did read somewhere that jason from true blood would be ideal to play that character
