CAROLYN’S ROUNDUP
This week has been all about Fifty Shades. I finished FIFTY SHADES OF GREY by E. L. James in under twenty-four hours. As soon as I finished I picked up FIFTY SHADES DARKER, which was just as good, maybe even a little bit better. I finished this one in two days. I’m now 100 pages in FIFTY SHADES FREED and enjoying, although it’s not as addictive as the other two yet. There’s not as much conflict between Ana and Christian, but all this could change of course! I’m hoping to have this one finished in a couple of days and then I’ll probably finished CARESSED BY ICE by Nalini Singh.
This week I bought two books: BLUE-BLOODED VAMP by Jaye Wells , the fifth and last book in her Sabina Kane urban fantasy series. I really enjoyed the first three books and I’m looking forward to reading the last two, and DARK KISS by Michelle Rowen, the first in her young adult Nightwatchers series - I must admit that it was the cover that made me buy this one. I just hope the story is as good.

LAURA’S ROUNDUP
This past week my world has been consumed by E.L. James and Fifty Shades. I finished FIFTY SHADES OF GREY in less than four days, it would have been sooner but I was really busy over the weekend. Don’t you just hate it when life gets in the way of your reading
. I then went straight from that onto FIFTY SHADES DARKER. What can I say, this is one of those books where the hype is true, they are completely addictive and compelling! I plan on going straight onto FIFTY SHADES FREED straight after.
As I got a gift voucher for my birthday I actually bought three books this week. The first was LOVER ETERNAL and LOVER AWAKENED by J.R. Ward. I already have the first book sitting on my Kindle and plan to read it on my holidays next week, so I thought I would have the second and third ones ready and waiting too. My third book was unusual for me as it was a non-fiction one, recommended to me on my Advanced Writing course last week. It is TEACH YOURSELF HOW TO WRITE A BLOCKBUSTER by Helen Corner and Weatherly Lee. I’m off on my hols for a couple of weeks, so I’ll see you when I’m back hopefully having managed to fit in lots of reading!

GEMMA’S ROUNDUP

I finally managed to finish PRETTY LITTLE DEAD THINGS by Gary McMahon. I’ll be honest it was almost a DNF, but I powered through because I wanted to see if there were any plot lines resolved. Unfortunately I was left disappointed. My review will be up soon.
I then decided to join the legions of readers who have been talking about FIFTY SHADES OF GREY by E. L. James. I’m not very far through it so can’t really give you any thoughts on what I think of it, yet…

REBECCA’S ROUNDUP
At the beginning of the week I finished off DARK LOVER by J.R. Ward, and I have a bad feeling that Vickie and Gemma have gotten me hooked on the Black Dagger Brotherhood! I’m feeling the urge to order the next book already!! A few weeks ago I mentioned that I’d ordered BLACK WINGS by Christina Henry, which I finally got around to reading this week. It was an interesting read, and I liked the concept of the novel’s plot. You can read my review of it on the blog soon! My copy of BLACK DAWN by Rachel Caine also arrived this week, and I devoured it really quickly. I have been thoroughly sucked back into the world of Morganville, and am now awaiting my next fix with book 13 due out later in the year! I still can’t believe this series is potentially going to have 15 books or more, and as I’ve been with the series right from the release of book 1 it really feels like I’ve gone on a journey with these characters.
I received my next lot of review books for BCC this week, and have just started CHANGELESS by Gail Carriger, the sequel to Soulless (you can find my review here). I’m looking forward to reading this, as I love anything Victorian or steampunk, and my review will be posted soon!

I can’t seem to move past 5% of 50 shades. Not sure why. Might try and pick it up later
