LAURA’S ROUNDUP
This week I have been reading KISS THE DEAD by Laurell K. Hamilton, it’s book 21 in the Anita Blake series. It wasn’t the best installment to be honest, I had quite a few issues with the book and think that I’ve read better by Hamilton. My review is up later this week.
However, it was with much excitement this week that I got an email to say that ONCE BURNED by Jeaniene Frost had been downloaded onto my Kindle. Book number one in Frost’s Night Prince spin-off series, about Vlad. I have been so excited about this book’s release! I started it and ready 40% in one day, it’s as good as I imagined it would be! I *lurve* Vlad. Review is coming this week too. But I can tell you now I’m going to be recommending it…
I’ve still managed to resist buying anymore books, but I have an Amazon voucher burning in my in-box, so I don’t think the Black Dagger Brothers are going to wait too much longer to be downloaded!

GEMMA’S ROUNDUP
As predicted last week, I did finish BLOODSTONE, but rather than pick up THE LINGERING DEAD, I ended up starting WICKED AS THEY COME by Delilah S. Dawson. It’s an addictive read and I have whizzed through it even though I have had the mundane task of going to work. Look out for the review soon, as this looks to be a promising series.
I’m torn on what to read next. It is either going to be FIRST BITTEN by Samantha Towle, DARK ENCHANTMEN by Anya Bast or TARNISHED by Karina Cooper. I’ll see what takes my fancy.
I also went to the cinema to see ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. It was a big disappointment, though when I came out of the cinema I was unsure. The more I thought about it, the more I realized I really didn’t like it. you can read my review here.
My book buying ban has hit a wee bit of a snag. I ended up picking up DARK DESCENDANT by Jenna Black, when I popped into Waterstones to pick up my pre-ordered copy of A DANGEROUS INHERITANCE by Alison Weir. The only plus side was that I used my points. On the flip side, I did go through my pre-orders on Amazon and The Book Depository and cancelled some books I had ordered on a whim.

VICKIE’S ROUNDUP
Oh boy, I have been so lazy this week. I haven’t finished a book! I am going to blame the school (where I work) and Carolyn. School for keeping me so busy that when I have come home, all I want to do is crash, and Carolyn for showing me a face paint that got me so distracted I just had to paint it!!
I have been trying to make my way through GIDEON by Jacqueline Frank, but I think I am going to need a dictionary by my side and books like that put me off somewhat. Ho Hum… will do better next week …honest!
REBECCA’S ROUNDUP

Sorry for the lack of a roundup from me last week, but here’s what I’ve been up to these last couple of weeks!
So, books I’ve read these past two weeks, first up I completed GRAVE MERCY by Robin LaFevers, which was a great new concept for the YA market when compared to the current wave of vampire fiction sweeping the shops. I’ve also read AS YOU WISH by Gabi Stevens, the second in her Time of Transition series, which I enjoyed more than the first book in the series, and that review should be up soon! As for continuations of series, I’ve just finished CURSED by Benedict Jacka, the second in the Alex Verus series.
Aside from PNR and UF I read historical romance novel, THE LADY MOST LIKELY by Julia Quinn, Eloisa James & Connie Brockway, which I wasn’t overly impressed with, but when my review is posted you’ll all understand what I mean by that…
I’ve just started BLAMELESS by Gail Carriger, and I’m really excited to continue The Parasol Protectorate series! I’ll let you all know how it goes in next week’s roundup!
Away from the world of reading, I’ve fully finished everything for the summer, so now I’m just working and reviewing! I also managed to see The Avengers for the second time, and I absolutely love the movie. I can’t wait for the DVD in September, and I’m excited for the next movie already! (I can’t wait two years, that’s torture!!!) *I would like to add that my liking for this movie has nothing to do with Jeremy Renner’s arms… at all…*
