LAURA’S THOUGHTS
While the colour on this cover is beautifully vivid, it does niggle me that it doesn’t sit that well with the colour scheme of the rest of the book in the series. Overall though this cover is lovely. From the model’s pose with her hair cascading down her back, to the beautiful mural-like illustration in the opposite corners. It’s looks sexy and slightly club like (as in you could easily see it on the front of a CD for club dance music). I also love the italics used for the book title.

I agree with Laura in that this is a lovely cover. It does look like a cover for a dance CD though. I really like all the details: the title font, the decoration, the lighting, the colour, even the model. It’s all good. However. I don’t like it for this series. It doesn’t make any sense, and I HATE the fact that they have changed the cover mid series. This really annoys me! I have the entire series all matching. This one will stick out like a sore thumb. Grrrr. Does this sort of thing annoy you too?

Ah, my pet hate! The changing of a book series theme! I agree with you both, the cover is lovely but it is so different from the others in the series

I agree the cover change is REALLY annoying!…. they’ve done this already with this series by changing the pages edges to pretty colours! I had the first 7 books in this series, I read the first few and I after consideration and reading reviews from other people, I’ve decided to give up with this series. I really feel the writing is passable and the whole story NEVER goes anywhere, the whole series could be done over a trilogy…so I turned 2 with the pretty coloured page ends in a pair of bookends, cut one book up to make bookmarks and the others went to charity…
Shame really, if it was done right, the series could be so good.

I haven’t read the books myself, but I do dislike it when they change the look of a series half way through.

That was my first thought when i saw the cover. they have re released the series with the new colour cover but i feel that they do not reflect the books properly. they did the same with The princwess diaries by meg cabot, and my set has 4 different cover types in it
