I really like this cover. I think it’s a great continuation from the cover of the first book in the series. The background image of a forest with what I assume to be zombies in amongst the trees is very atmospheric. I don’t usually like hovering heads but the face blends in very well, with the branches of the trees mingling with her hair. The overall colour is good too. I much prefer this to the cover of Ashes.
LAURA’S THOUGHTS
This is a very atmospheric cover. I love how the portrait overlaps the the scene in the woods, particularly how the strands over her hair become the trees and vice versa. The glow of the background scene also seems to cleverly illuminate her face. The black and white colour creates a great contrast, all finished off with a super font.

Really liked the cover, but was sure I had seen something very similar before. Of course, it was the first book in the series, Ashes.
Have to admit, I like the UK cover much better than the US cover.
