Yay audiobooks are included this year
I may stand more of a chance to reach 100 in 2013
As usual I shall give it a whirl, maybe third year lucky and I’ll make it?

As you know I don’t, or shall I say can’t, listen to audiobooks. I just end up falling asleep and missing lots of chapters, or if I’m listening to it while doing the housework, my mind wonders and I forget what’s happened. I’ve tried and tried, just not for me.
Hopefully we’ll both be successful in 2013 – this year was just awful for me – just 33 books

You should try it if you have a long drive I find they’re great for then. I never listen to mine in the house, just driving to and from work

Hi Carolyn,
I SO agree with you about Audiobooks! I also tend to fall asleep while listening to audiobooks, and lose chapters and chapters because of it! Again, just like you, if I try to listen to them while doing something like the dishes, my mind wanders as well! I’ve tried and tried as well, and just can’t do it!
I’m glad to know I’m not the only one this happens to!
Thanks for sharing your experience with them. It’s great to know “I’m not the only one!”.
I will admit I ‘did’ listen to them when they used to be on cassette, but this goes back 20+ years ago! It was when I had over an hour drive to and home from work, although the books available back then were VERY limited. It was nothing like it is today! I will even go so far as to say I was a much more conscious driver, too, while listening to them! I had to pay attention to the story so much, that I paid attention to the traffic better, as well!
Today, I can no longer drive due to a neurological muscle disease, so Audiobooks do nto fit in my life due to the reasons above.
Audiobooks are gret for certain people, just not for me.
It’s GREAT that you’ve included them for the people who ‘do’ use them!
Good Luck to EVERYONE!
