I was perusing the Choc Lit website the other day and noticed they are bringing out a few paranormal books in 2013. When Choc Lit first came on the scene they were all about the historical and contemporary. But this August they published their first foray into the paranormal with Vampire State of Mind by Jane Lovering.
I first came across this publisher when they offered one of their books for review, we’ve now reviewed five of their titles and have found them to contain really good quality writing combined with great stories. Here’s what Choc Lit say about themselves:
Welcome to Choc Lit an independent publisher with award winning novels. We’re creating a delicious selection of fiction – quality stories with romantic content. Categories include: contemporary, historical and fantasy. 2012 sees the addition of thrillers, a paranormal and a time slip to our selection.
Although the Choc Lit site lists all their books in all genres, I’m just going to focus on the paranormal titles, as that’s what we love most here at BCC So here they are – I for one can’t wait to get my hands on them!

Madison agrees to help J recover his memory, but as she delves deeper into his mind, it soon becomes clear that some secrets are better off staying hidden.
Is J really the man Madison believes him to be? Evonne describes J her hero in terms of chocolate: J would be the last perfect liqueur in the battered box at the back of the fridge. The contents is a mystery, but on biting into it there is a breathtaking rush of fire, spirit and power.
A STITCH IN TIME by Mandy James

A stitch in time saves nine… or does it? Sarah Yates is a thirty something history teacher, divorced, disillusioned and desperate to have more excitement in her life. Making all her dreams come true seems about as likely as climbing Everest in stilettos.
Then one evening the door bell rings and the handsome and mysterious John Needler brings more excitement than Sarah could ever have imagined. John wants Sarah to go back in time…
Sarah is whisked from the Sheffield Blitz to the suffragette movement in London to the Old American West, trying to make sure people find their happy endings. The only question is, will she ever be able to find hers?
HUBBLE BUBBLE by Jane Lovering
Release Date: 7th June 2013 (Amazon)
Be careful what you wish for… Holly Grey only took up witchery to keep her friend out of trouble – and now she’s knee-deep in hassle, in the form of apocalyptic weather, armed men, midwifery…and a sarcastic Welsh journalist.
Kai has been drawn to darkest Yorkshire by his desire to find out who he really is. What he hadn’t bargained on was getting caught up in amateur magic and dealing with a bunch of women who are trying really hard to make their dreams come true. Together they realise that getting what you wish for is sometimes just a matter of knowing what it is you want…
I think I want them all! However, No Such Thing As Immortality sounds like just my cup of tea, and Hubble Bubble sounds like a really cute read. I know that Laura will be drooling after A Stitch in Time as she loves time-travel romance! Although all Choc Lit’s books come out as paperbacks, they’re also available as Amazon UK Kindle books too at really reasonable prices, I don’t think I’ve seen one above £2.00! All their Kindle books are available from Amazon US as well, as far as I can tell. But until they’re published, go and add them to your wishlists! 😀
