I was perusing the net, as I do, searching for some interesting bookends, and I came across Kandco.com. It has two sets of bookends that really took me back to my childhood and I wanted to share them with you.
The first set was Morph. Those of you around my age will remember him, but I’m not sure those of you from the US will know who he is. Morph is an animated plasticine character that lives in a wooden pencil box and has a cute squeaky voice. Morph first appeared in the 1970’s in children’s TV programmes such as Take Hart and Hartbeat. I remember watching and giggling thinking he was just so funny. I think I’d definitely get this set if I had kids. What do you think – cute aren’t they?
The other set is of two of my favourite Muppets, Kermit and Miss Piggy. This set is also part of the Disney Traditions collection, which I’m collecting – although I don’t have many yet as they’re quite pricey. I distinctly remember watching The Muppet Show on a Saturday night after the US show Chips. It’s a shame they don’t seem to be as popular now as they were in my day, but I loved them.
Do you have any bookends you’d like to share? If so add a link to the website or image in the comments section. I’d love to see them as I’m always on the look out for more – you can never have too many bookends 😉
