GEMMA’S THOUGHTS
I rather like this cover. It seems to suggest that the main character has vengence on her mind and watch out if you get in her way. I do like the falling rain that the model seems to be walking through as it adds a certain menace to her whole persona. The fact that the rain drops look like they are erroding parts of the title, just gives her an even more bad ass look. She seems to scream, “Yeah, its raining and I am wearing a vest top, but my thirst for revenge protects me! Mwa Ha Ha Ha!”
Yep, this cover ticks all the boxes for me. It just has that certain look about it that would make me pick it up and have a look at the blurb on the back. *sigh* I now really want this book. *stares at New Years Resolution Post.
CAROLYN’S THOUGHTS
I totally agree with Gemma. This is a great cover, lots of sass. I love the red glow that matches her hair and the look on her face says she’s taking no prisoners! Her outfit is practical but she also looks sexy and cool. I’ve seen a lot of YA lately that have just a girl or boy on the front doing nothing in particular – literally just standing there… boring! This is how it’s suppose to be done. There’s lots of movement and I love the broken rock around her, it looks as though she’s walked through a wall she’s that tough. Fab cover.
