I will admit that I like the fact that the cover is very much part of the series – it’s always a huge plus for me when books in a series match nicely and look good on my bookshelf. However, I’m really not digging this cover. Those handcuffs were not part of the original image, and it shows. The handcuffs were added as an after thought, as was the blood. It looks a bit cheap, which for such a well known author is surprising. I do like the font though and they way it blurs in and out along the words. Other than it being part of a series, I probably wouldn’t pick it up.
This cover is definitely interesting, and I love the red and white contrast of the blood on the pillow. However, the shine of the handcuffs makes them look fake, as if they’ve been photoshopped in, ruining the effect. Despite this, I’d still love to find out how and why someone has escaped from these!
I’m not sure about the colour of the text, as I can see that it matches previous covers in the series but I just don’t think it works in comparison with the white of the pillow. The tagline at the bottom of the cover has changed, as it no longer states what the series is, which I think is important on a cover rather than proclaiming its New York Times accolades. I’m also struggling to see how the title ties in with the cover, as this could just as easily be a crime novel cover or even that of erotic romance. I don’t think this cover is as good as the previous ones in the series, and I also think the US cover is miles better.

ENTWINED WITH YOU (Crossfire #3) | RELEASE DATE: May 2013
PUBLISHER: Penguin | GENRE: Contemporary Erotic Romance | ARTIST: Unknown
From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside–so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat.
No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become. Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession… (Goodreads)
I really like this cover, it’s much better than the US cover with it’s horrid green and yellow. The pink in this one catches my eye, as does the sparkle of the perfume bottle. I also like it more than the first cover in the UK series, Bared to You – why they had to elongate the stiletto heel, I don’t know as it just looks stupid and… well, wrong. What do you think, Gemma? Do you like it more than the US edition?
I’m with you on this, Carolyn. The UK cover is much better than the US one by miles. It also seems to follow on nicely from the previous two. I just wonder what perfume the heronie wears. Lol! You know, I never noticed the elongated heel in the first book. Go figure? My only question is, how does perfume fit into the plotline of the book? P.S. I have books 1 and 2 on my TBR shelf and this will no doubt join them.
