Today is the last day of Book Blogger Appreciation Week (BBAW) and the last topic is Future Treasure where I get the chance to share what I have enjoyed most about BBAW 2010 and also what my blogging goals are for the coming year! It’s been a great week. I’ve read lots of interesting posts, found lots of new books to read and a new blog or two. This is my second BBAW, and although last year had an excitement about it I felt was lacking this time round, BBAW…
It’s the penultimate day of Book Blogger Appreciation Week (BBAW), wow it’s going fast! Todays topic is Forgotten Treasure “..we likely have a book we wish would get more attention by book bloggers, whether it’s a forgotten classic or under marketed contemporary fiction. This is your chance to tell the community why they should consider reading this book!” I handed this one over to Laura and she’s chosen to talk about the Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop. I’d never heard of these books before but after reading Laura’s very…
Today marks the half way mark of Book Blogger Appreciation Week (BBAW) and it’s already been so much fun! Today’s activity is entitled: Unexpected Treasure: “we invite you to share with us a book or genre you tried due to the influence of another blogger. What made you cave in to try something new and what was the experience like?” •••••••••••••••••••••••• Most of you who frequent Book Chick City regularly will know that I had a huge genre revelation a few months ago when, after never wanting to read a…

Earlier today I interviewed the lovely Jean from Maurice on Books – but I also thought it would be cool for Laura and I to come up with 15 questions that we would both answer so you could all get to know us a bit better. It was fun – I hope you enjoy ••••••••••••••••••• 1. What five books would you take on a desert island with you? Laura: Wow, this is a hard question. It was one of my suggested ones too, serves me right! I think…
For the second day of BBAW, we are asked to post our interview swap – This is Interview Swap PART 1 (PART 2 later today) and I had the pleasure of interviewing the lovely Jean from Maurice on Books. We had a lovely chat and here is our interview… BCC: Hi Jean, welcome to BCC, I hope you’re having a great first BBAW – So let’s get started. When and why did you start blogging? Jean: I started my blog two years ago. My daughter who is has been blogging…
For our first BBAW activity we are asked to share a great new book blog we have discovered since BBAW last year and to explain why this blog rocks our socks off and why we keep going back for more. Wow – this is a toughie – I have found SO many fantastic blogs that to pick just one was really hard…so I haven’t. I’ve picked five! And here they are – in no particular order: Jackie – Literary Escapism Abigail – All Things Urban Fantasy Rebecca – Dirty Sexy…
I really enjoyed last years BBAW – it was fun and I ‘met’ lots of great bloggers. It was also a bit different from this years ‘registration’ in that everyone could nominate anyone, I didn’t have to nominate myself like this year. I was totally blown away last year, having only been blogging for two months at the time, at being nominated for Best New Blog, alas I wasn’t short-listed but it was still a great honour. This year I feel a bit funny – having to nominate myself –…
