CAROLYN Sadly, August wasn’t a good month for reading and I didn’t get to read that much due to one thing or another. But I did manage to read a completely new genre to me m/m erotic romance. I heard about DARK SOUL by Alexandr Voinov from Tori (aka @smexys_sidekick) and thought I’d give it a go as she was seriously raving about it. I’m always open to new experiences and DARK SOUL was certainly that. With two awesome characters, Stefano and Silvio, I went on a roller coaster of emotion…

CAROLYN I haven’t managed to read that much this month with one thing and another, but there are two that I would definitely recommend. They are from very different genres, but both brilliant reads. The first is THE TIME OF MY LIFE by Cecelia Ahern (review – 4/5). This is, as usual, a well written contemporary story by Ahern, with an element of fantasy and magic. I’ve loved everything Ahern has written, and this was another wonderful read. The second book is actually an eNovella, BLOODED by Amanda Carlson (review –…

LAURA It’s going to be really hard for me to pick a favourite this month. I’ve been away which has enabled me to read a lot more books than I would manage to normally. I’m on my tenth and I normally only manage a book per week. And I’ve been super lucky as I’ve read some cracking ones! Where to start… I finished the Fifty Shades trilogy by E.L James, FIFTY SHADES DARKER and FIFTY SHADES FREED, while the third one lost it’s way a little it made up for…

CAROLYN This month started off with me falling into another one of my reading slumps. I managed to get through SACRIFICIAL MAGIC by Stacia Kane, which was good but I have a few issues with it, especially Chess! But then I just couldn’t get into anything else and the days flew by with me not reading anything. Then I started to get caught up in the buzz for E. L. James’ Fifty Shades trilogy (FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, FIFTY SHADES DARKER and FIFTY SHADES FREED), and once Laura had started…

CAROLYN This month has been a great reading month, I’ve read lots of fab (mostly zombie) books. But these three are my recommendations of the month. To start off with, WHITE HORSE by Alex Adams [UK|US] turned out to be a surprisingly great dystopian (review coming soon), DRAGON BOUND by Thea Harrison [UK|US] was a fantastic paranormal romance (review coming soon), and PLAGUE TOWN by Dana Fredsti [UK|US] was a fast-paced zombie horror with a great leading heroine (review here). All receiving an 8/10 from me, and all three I would recommend you read!…

CAROLYN This month I’ve read a varied bunch of books. Some fabulous, while others…not so much. There’s one that shines more than the others though, and that’s DARKFEVER by Karen Marie Moning. I’d heard so many good things about this series and can’t think why I didn’t pick it up sooner. It’s a fantastic read with great characters and a strong, exciting plot. And the hero is to die for *ah Barrons*. I would definitely recommend this book – a great start to a series. An 8/10 from me –…
