Hmm where to start… Well, I joined Book Chick City in 2012 and I’m a 36 year old mum of two. I work full-time, with a second job as a face painter. There is nothing quite like morphing your face into something else, as you can see by my picture. You are probably thinking that this leaves little time for reading… you would be wrong… housework takes a backseat (fortunately I have an understanding husband) and as soon as the kids are tucked up in bed, the book comes out and thats me for the evening. I love the urban fantasy/paranormal romance section of the book store and this is where I spend the majority of my time, but I have been known to creep across to the horror section every now and again if something catches my eye. I love a strong storyline with twists and turns, and a few laughs along the way are always good for the soul… even if you do get looked at like you are nuts on public transport when you have hysterics for no apparent reason.
Favourite Authors: Kresley Cole has me in kinks with every book, so I think she is my favourite, but very closely behind her are J R Ward, Larissa Ione, Keri Arthur, Anne Bishop, Gena Showalter, Ivy Alexandra, Nalini Singh, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Kelley Armstrong and Christine Feehan.
I joined Book Chick City in late 2012. I’m a midnight bookworm, I escape reality through books and love Angels, Vampires and Nephilim. I only started reading after having my 3rd child in 2009, and I thank Stephanie Meyer for Edward and rekindling my lost passion. Since then I have not been able to stop and have my head in a book as soon as the children’s heads hit their pillows. I enjoy comping and the gym, love boxercise and spinning although I do get told off by my PT when I take a book and sit on the exercise bike for two hours reading. You can tell when it’s an exciting part as my legs go super-fast, it’s a new way to rate books, the higher the calorie burn the better the book . I live on the Hampshire/Surrey border, been married for 10 years, and my only escape is books. I mostly read fantasy and paranormal romances, dystopian & young adult, and as long as the leading man is HOT I’m happy.

I joined Book Chick City in early 2013. I am 18 years old and have always been an avid reader. As with many people it all started off with the Harry Potter series. Even though I have been reading so long, I only started to discover what I really liked a few years ago. Since then I have read, borrowed and bought tons of books (you used to be able to swing a cat in my bedroom!) and I haven’t looked back. My reading has stepped up a notch since Christmas since I was given Philip (my Kindle Fire) and now due to the two hour round trip to college, I find my self getting through quite a few books a month. This is to the dismay of my family as they have to fuel the habit. My dream is to own all of Rachel Caine’s books. When not at college or reading, I love to go out with friends in my city centre, see the latest releases at the cinema and spending time with my family. I love playing with my doglets, Bonnie and Jack. I also have tendency to say ‘back in my day’ a LOT, when I actually mean a few years ago as time moves too fast for my liking

I’m Jane, I came to Book Chick City in March 2013 and I’m a bookworm. In desperate times I’ve been known to read the back of the cereal packets but my top choices for reading matter are urban/dark fantasy novels and distopian/post-apocalyptic fiction. I was introduced to the dark side of fantasy by a very good friend who knew about my love of supernatural creatures and fed my habit with many excellent recommendations. By day I am software and user wrangler, by night I am a member of an amateur musical theatre group and a part-time creative writing student. In those spare moments when I’m not doing one of these things I read, hiding in the kitchen at work or in the bath or in bed. I live near Wrexham with my boyfriend with a room for all my books and an ever growing Dalek collection.

Look in the dictionary under bookworm and you will see a picture of me. I love reading and some of my favorite memories are of my mom reading Nancy Drew to me when I was little. I cannot remember a time in my life when I did not find time to read, sometimes to the detriment of my homework and now housework. Thank goodness I found a man who loves books and reading as much as I do. We actually met on Kelley Armstrong’s website. We are passing along the love of reading to our two year old son. His bookshelf is pretty impressive already. My birthday present last year was my Kindle. I love how I can carry a library with me when I travel. It definitely lightens my luggage. My favorite books consist of vampires, werewolves, zombies, dystopian, science fiction and mysteries. Besides books, my other hobbies are photography, genealogy, running and food shows.

My name is Carrie! I’m a 21 year old Writer from Australia and procrastination is my game. If you don’t believe me, I’ll show you half a dozen un-finished books. I’m hopelessly addicted to reading – thankfully, reviewing for BCC lends some justification to the time consuming habit. During the day, I divide my time between Uni – a BA of Editing/Publishing – and a part-time job as a Sales Assistant. Selling bread isn’t exactly my dream job, but until I get my BA or write a best seller (whichever comes first), it pays the bills. I love Disney Movies, Men with Tattoos and my pooches. With four of them, I’m unapologetically on the fast track to becoming the dog version of a crazy cat lady. As far as I’m concerned, time is best spent with a book, a dog and some chocolate (though measures must be taken to keep dog and chocolate separate).

I live in Kent with my partner, I’m 41 and a full time operations manager in an office in Soho, London. My parents encouraged my love of reading from an early age and my love of fantasy probably started with Enid Blyton and is still going strong! I love a series of books, especially when you discover it part way through and have a few books in a row to read, happy endings, strong, feisty, funny heroines and strong, sexy, funny alpha male heroes. I love my kindle, especially as my huge TBR list now fits on it nicely, instead of overflowing my bookshelves. I hate cliffhangers and the wait for a new book. Outside of reading, I enjoy my iPad, long baths, roast dinners, and anything that makes me laugh. Current favourite TV programmes are: The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and New Girl.
