On Every Street by Karina Halle

…Gemma’s Rating: [/color-box] GEMMA When Carolyn suggested that we read The Artist Trilogy for our next Joint Review, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The book’s cover and the summary seemed to hint this could be the run of the mill contemporary romance novel. By this I mean naive young woman, meets seductive alpha male, who undergoes a journey of self-discovery, both in terms of emotional maturity, sexual awakening and down and dirty…

Gilded  by Karina Cooper (The St Croix Chronicles #1) Avon (Dec 2012) Paperback, 384 pages Steampunk GEMMA: Having anxiously waited for Gilded, I can honestly say that it was well worth it. Cooper has once again expertly managed to weave a story that takes you down one path, only to pull the rug out from under you on the second last chapter. What is really clever is the fact that you are so wrapped up in the main plot of Cherry investigating t…

Sins & Needles

…For me Sins & Needles was a thrilling read with romance and sexual chemistry thrown in. The combination of all the aspects is what kept me reading. I like Ellie and Camden and I want them to come out of it together, alive and at peace. But I’m not sure if that’s going to happen with Javier on the scene. I can’t wait to read Shooting Scars to see what happens next. PREVIOUS REVIEWS #0.5 On Every Street…
